The TST R7 is driven by a rear hub motor with 250W nominal output and up to 1200W peak power. The top speed is 45 km/h where such riding is permitted, and a 25 km/h speed limit is available for adapted use. The bike handles gradients of up to 30 degrees, which makes it well suited to hilly areas and more demanding everyday routes.

The removable 48V 15Ah lithium battery gives the TST R7 up to 105 km of range under favourable conditions. That is plenty of capacity for longer commutes, weekend rides and days with several trips between charges. The battery is lockable and can be taken off the bike, which makes charging easier at home, at work or in the garage. A full charge takes around 5–6 hours. Actual range depends on speed, riding mode, rider weight, temperature, terrain, tyre pressure and how much motor assistance is used.

You can choose a calmer mode when you want to prioritise control and battery life, or a more powerful mode when you need more assistance over longer distances, on hills or on tougher surfaces. Full suspension for comfort on uneven roads.

Front and rear suspension help the TST R7 absorb shocks from uneven tarmac, gravel, joints and smaller potholes. The front suspension and the rear shock absorber work together to reduce vibrations through the frame and saddle. That gives a smoother and more stable ride on longer trips. Always check local regulations before riding and use the higher performance modes only where such use is permitted.

Electric scooters (e-scooters)
Rules for e-scooters are not fully harmonised across the EU – each member state sets its own requirements. In most EU countries, e-scooters are limited to a top speed of 20–25 km/h for use on public roads, and some countries also require type approval, insurance or a minimum age. Models that exceed the national limits – for example with higher top speeds or stronger motors – may generally only be used on private property. Always check the current rules with the national transport authority in your country before riding on public roads.

Electric bikes (pedelecs)
Across the EU, an electric bike is treated as a regular bicycle if the motor has a maximum continuous rated power of 250 W, only assists while you pedal, and cuts out at 25 km/h (EU Regulation 168/2013 and EN 15194). Such pedelecs require no registration, licence or insurance. The motor may temporarily deliver a higher peak output, as long as the continuous rated power does not exceed 250 W.

Faster or more powerful models (such as speed pedelecs with assistance up to 45 km/h) are classified as mopeds (category L1e-B) and are subject to type approval, registration, insurance, helmet and licence requirements that vary by country. Models that do not meet these requirements may only be used on private property.

We strongly recommend wearing a helmet, even where it is not mandatory.
