Product description

These hydraulic brake pads with a semi-metallic compound are specially developed for the NIU KQi 3 Sport, KQi 3 Pro, KQi 3 Max and KQi 2 Pro electric scooters. The brake pads are engineered to deliver powerful, smooth and reliable braking in both dry and wet conditions, giving you maximum safety during daily commuting and longer rides.

The semi-metallic blend provides aggressive initial braking action while keeping wear on the brake disc to a low level. Thanks to precisely designed backing plates and mounting lugs, the brake pads fit perfectly as a direct replacement for original parts, with no need for modification. The beveled edges and optimized surface minimize brake noise and vibration for a quieter, more comfortable ride.

The brake pads are built to perform reliably across varying temperatures and weather conditions, making them a dependable choice year-round. Easy installation without bleeding the brake system saves both time and money. Upgrade or replace your worn brake pads today and restore full braking performance on your NIU electric scooter. Order easily and securely from Wheelyshop for fast delivery and high quality.

Laws & rules

Electric scooters (e-scooters)
Rules for e-scooters are not fully harmonised across the EU – each member state sets its own requirements. In most EU countries, e-scooters are limited to a top speed of 20–25 km/h for use on public roads, and some countries also require type approval, insurance or a minimum age. Models that exceed the national limits – for example with higher top speeds or stronger motors – may generally only be used on private property. Always check the current rules with the national transport authority in your country before riding on public roads.

Electric bikes (pedelecs)
Across the EU, an electric bike is treated as a regular bicycle if the motor has a maximum continuous rated power of 250 W, only assists while you pedal, and cuts out at 25 km/h (EU Regulation 168/2013 and EN 15194). Such pedelecs require no registration, licence or insurance. The motor may temporarily deliver a higher peak output, as long as the continuous rated power does not exceed 250 W.

Faster or more powerful models (such as speed pedelecs with assistance up to 45 km/h) are classified as mopeds (category L1e-B) and are subject to type approval, registration, insurance, helmet and licence requirements that vary by country. Models that do not meet these requirements may only be used on private property.

We strongly recommend wearing a helmet, even where it is not mandatory.
